Taiji Takata(Cembalo & Fortepiano)
 
 

Taiji Takata was born in Kobe 1977 and got his first piano lessons at the age of 7.
From 1996 till 2000 he studied piano at the Osaka College of Music.
In 2002 he earned his master degree and started a career as a pianist. Simultaneously he began studies for harpsichord and fortepiano with Christine Schornsheim (Munich), Andreas Staier (Cologne) and Olivier Baumont (Paris). He toured not only in Japan, but also in South Korea.
He played with many orchestras and musicians: E. g. with the College Opera House Orchestra Osaka, the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa Chamber, the Telemann Chamber Music Orchestra Japan, and Simon Standage (Great Britain) as well as with Ulla Bundies in Japan and Germany.
In addition he was well represented on Japanese broadcast and television stations. His CDs earned many compliments and enthusiastic critics.
His concert with works of Bach 2009 in Tokyo was widely appreciated by the audience and press. In spring 2011 he gave a concert at the Bach-Archive in Leipzig/Germany.
He played at the state visit of the Austrian president in Japan at the Osaka palace. In Germany Mr. Takata gave concerts in Remagen, on the island Nonnenwerth/Rhine, in Hannover and in Kiel.
He played in Osaka/Japan all piano concerts of Mozart accompanied by ancient instruments under the conductor Takeharu Nobuhara, who earned the Federal Cross of Merit for his engagement for the German baroque music.
In 2012 Mr. Takata received the "Sakai-Tokitada" award for musicians in Japan. Besides his many concerts in Japan, further concerts in Germany are planed.
